Teens all over the world are crazed about Miley Cyrus and her tv alter-ego Hannah Montana. Her shows are sold out and tickets are selling for up to 1,200 dollars a piece. The Us top 100 has had five of her singles on it simultaneously. She was given the name Desiny Hope at birth and her father,Billy Ray Cyrus, said the name was chosen because they felt she'd be destined for great things. It seems that he was right. Miley Cyrus is worth 7 million and she is still grounded. She maintains her faith and has said " All I want to do is have an impact around the word, That's kinda why I'm in Hollywood: to be like a light, a testimony to God."
About Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus was born on November 23, 1992 in Franklin Tn. Her parents are country music star Billy Ray Cyrus and Leticia Cyrus. She was given the nickname Miley because she smiled alot. She attends church regularly with her parents and siblings.
She began acting with a role as a guest star on her father's show Doc. She played the role of 'young Ruthie' in Tim Burton's movie Big Fish in 2003. At the age of eleven she first auditioned for Hannah Montana. Disney executives thought that Miley was "too small". She was called back by Disney to audition at the age of twelve. She was chosen for the role of Hannah Montana. She auditioned her own father Billy Ray to play her dad in the show. She performs on the show as Miley Stewart and alter-ego Hannah Montana. The Hannah Montana soundtrack was released in October 2006. Miley also signed a four album record deal for her own albums. In June 2007 she released a double album Hannah Montana 2 :Meet Miley Cyrus. On the second disc she co-wrote eight of the twelve songs. Her Best of Both Worlds Tour started in October of 2007 to sold out audiences, with the Jonas Brothers as opening act. She was ranked #17 in the Forbes Top 20 Earners under 25 in 2007, with annual earnings of 3.5 million in 2007. In January of 2008 she changed her name to Miley Ray Cyrus. She is working on Hannah Montana :The Movie, High School Musical 2,and Further Adventures in Babysitting.
